I could not think of a better Character to bound on PRIDE DAY then Iris, Goddess of the Rainbow. She makes a brief appearance towards the end of The Pastoral Symphony segment of Fantasia

Relay for life of Second Life 2026 - Wild for a cure

Relay weekend has come and gone. And the sims where sunk and soon will go away. And lots of money was raised!

This year I COULD have done so many laps. new comp moved like a breeze. But I just kinda, enjoyed things and took my time and got in an good 11 laps.

More sims and a longer track then the past several years! Means more teams which is great!

We had a few fun events and hopefully even more next year

with the theme of wild for a cure there where some fun camps. And people intrpreted "wild" in a few ways. From animals, to a wild good time. to the Wild wild west. There was even a camp themed around the Steampunk movie Wild wild west witht hat giant metal spider thing going after a cancer cell!

Steelhead chose, as I said, to be a Cryptid Sanctuary and we had lots of them! You can see photos of our camp and then at least one photo of all the other camps here

So many fun avatars on the track and I enjoyed either attaching say, a flamboyance of Flamingos about me, or changing forms. And as always going a lap with friends makes for so much fun! Photos taken over Relay weekend are here

Monday I went around the track again and explored some of the camps deeper and found quite a few lovely hidden gems in them. Photos of that are here

And then of course on Wednesday we had the traditional sink the sims party. I am pretty sure this was the highest the waters ever gotten. WELL over the signs. and then when they took it back down it was amusing to watch people plop out of the air as they had been in a floaty. Photos of that here

Fantasy faire 2027 is April 22nd to May 9th I checked my logs.

Fantasy Faire 2026 Farewell - A time for Endings....

And yet beginnings...

BUT FIRST, Holy crap the reasons this post took a few weeks to get out. I took a short break after Faire ended to process as, it was a lot! And in that time, my computer had a memory link issue and then an attempt to fix that caused it it to get stuck in a repair loop while trying to start windows. Basically it became an expensive paperweight.

Thank EVERYTHING I had backed up files just 3 days before it happened. Only really lost one day of an importance for my SL logs. Also thankfully the computer I was using before that one still worked, so I was still able to get on and do things. But its internet card was dying. It did not connect at fast speeds. It took almost an hour to get my Anniversary photo uploaded. There was no way I could get full albums uploaded. Also ALSO thankfully, Eldorzi was able to help me get a new computer. So That's what I'm on now! But resetting and reinstalling everything up has taken a bit of time.

But its all settled now, mostly.

SO lets get into things! First up from the webpage Fantasy Faire 2026 earned L$24,177,086 by the time it was over for Relay for Life. That's $99310.70

Children of Stories this year was something else. The story was tied back to the fairelands itself. And the recent repetitive appearances of the Golden Hour the past several years. And the children where to work out why, as squires to the Bard Queens knights. But things took a turn and in the end. We lost the Guardian of Fire Cole. He sacrificed himself to save the fairelands. You can read all about it here

It was an intense and emotional role play in parts. But also fun and playful. And I can't wait for next years!

We already have the dates for next year as well! which, I cant find right now.

But as always, each year a Faire full of memories goes back into the mists. But we know that, Junction will rise again and bring with it new realms to explore and enjoy.

Till then...we shall meet each other in the Golden Dream.

Fantasy Faire 2026 quest was called The Pilgrim’s Forest and it was a delight. The lore of the fairelands continues through the quest and while you can no longer partake, as faire is closed. If you did you had many memories of it! Plus at least the little deer Hero to take home!

First off important announcement

FANTASY FAIRE IS OPEN UNTIL THE 13TH!

That's right you still have a few days to shop, explore, quest and have fun!

SECONDLY, there is an encore performance of Tangles in the works for Wednesday at noon.

THIRDLY, the Express hud for the quest is out if you want to zippy to the prize flood.

Ok onto the sim. Kallissya is the sim built for the quest, which information abut that is linked above. I HIGHLY encourage folk to do it. You get more then your money's worth out of it!

the build itself is a lil farm tucked into some woods and there is SO Much to explore and find thats not with the quest, and the items for the quest is are lovely! DO THE QUEST

Achroma still keeps with the pages theme for the decor only it turns from words to drawing. A good chunk of the region is also devoted to blank space for the entertainment stage.

With this third appearance of The Golden Hour it has become the second sim to return every year along side Junction. Which why it is doing that was the focus of this years Children of Stories roleplay. Which took place on The Golden Hour this year. I'll talk more about that later. It was an emotional year.

The build itself was a magnificent quasi Aztec pyramid with Quetzalcoatl decor set into a massive jungle that is home to many capybara. Super easy to get lost in while exploring!

Tucked into a corner is the FaireChylde, accessed by a rainbow road, for all your party rocking needs!

You'll want to deeply explore the pyramid as theres all kinds of things to find that where put in for the COS. It's super interesting.
