Shattered

I am, having a very hard time typing this. She meant more to me then the others. She was my precious baby. And this came even more unexpectedly then Lilbit, despite her age.

Gallery of photos of her from minutes old to the night before

I want to type more about her but...I can't. I'm already near breaking down again...

Over the Rainbow Bridge

Tuesday I lost one of my furbabies. Lilbit was 12 years old and died in my arms. Liver issues.

Her candle has been added to the memorial I keep on my land for all the cats I have lost in my life.

And So Relay ends again...till next year

Another year gone by,
another Relay weekend come and gone,
another Relay Season drawing to a close.
So much Hope given and money earned.
Current total is 204,231.29 USD

It was a good weekend. I could have easily managed the same personal lap record I did last year, but chose to take it easy. Managed basicaly 15 laps. Had a freind from Mischeif Managed join me half way through and BOY did he book it at times and got up to 12 laps! So proud of him! For me the track was so much smoother except some issues in one sim that EVERYONE seemed to have.

But even with him booking it about we had a blast, We went on some of the MANY roller coasters on the track this year. The one from the ACTS team is one of the best I've ever been on in Sl!

Sims will be up a few more days to explore though a few camps are already gone, you can start checking them out at Steelheads simple but very STEELHEAD build. SLURL HERE

I'll get all my photos from before, durning, and after posted this weekend. still making my way through them and the Flood party is tommrow at some point.

The Beacon in the night

Luminarias are lit to honor and remember someone lost to cancer. But they also serve as a beacon of hope to those still fighting...

Bridging the gap

There is an amazing build on one of the campsites along the track this year. It is called "Bridging the gap" and it, just perfectly shows what RFLoSL is all about. I teared up when I saw it yesterday. It's at the Meli's Maniacs's Camp at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/NORTH%20AMERICA%20Prevention/63/127/23

People Look over our Shoulders
At our screens and think,
"what cute Avatars.
They see us as CHARACTERS
in a game.
Manikins playing at being
REAL.
But they are WRONG!
Behind every single avatar is a
Living, breathing, careing, SOUL!
We are not just Manikins,
We are Humans and Tinies,
Merfolk and furries, Petites,
Fairies, Vampires, Lycans,
Angels, Demons, Dragons,
Fauns, Centaurs, Aliens, Ponies,
Ferals and Unicorns.
We come in a Myraid of Shapes,
Sizes colors, and styles.
And yet we are ALL THE
SAME
We are NOT Manikins!

WE are The People of Second Life!
We are Relay for of Second
Life!

UNITED WE RELAY
TO BRIDGE THE
GAP!

Many of the figures in the build are representations of actual relayers. And it is showing all the types of avatars that people wear to raise REAL MONEY to fight cancer.

Its just, perfect. I had to share it in its own post.

Ten years of Hope....

And we can hope and dream that before the next ten years are up a cure is found..

This is the end of the last day of Fantasy Faire's big Tenth Anniversary event. Started in 2008. And I've been blogging it since 2012, more then half of its time on the grid.

I feel so honored to be a blogger for those years. Every year I get told I am selected once again makes my heart soar. And I hope to still be able to do so for as long as the Faire is around and needed.

This year I am grateful that no one in my life has been lost or lost a love one to Cancer during the run. I still have some fighting it but they are on the winning side of their battles right now if not almost beaten it.

One day this fight will be over for EVERYONE and the Fairelands Junction will forever fade into the mist. with perhaps maybe one last hurrah as a party to celebrate the end of Cancer.

This past year was not that year, but we still dealt the Unweaver a HUGE blow with the funds raised in the time the lands where up. The extended Time in the sims have allowed the faire to collect $42,169 USD or over ELEVEN MILLION in Lindens. IN TWO WEEKS . And all of it going to build the Hope Hostel in Kenya. That's a MASSIVE strike against Cancer. Its going to help so many people that previously could not be reached.

But I will keep hoping that a cure will be found, and keep Relaying to find it and to help those with Cancer.

Until it is found..

Fantasy Faire 2018 sim - Ardessa

ARDESSA | SLURL
Sponsored by Emerald Hurst.
Ardessa by Éclair Martinek. – Fairelands Quest: The House of Garland
Ardessa hosts this year’s Fairelands Quest: the location where all the brave adventurers will do their best to aid the Bard Queen.

All my photos of this sim can be seen at this link here

And here we have the last sim. Its a beautiful sim with so much hidden in its forests I could spend hours or days finding it all. But it is also the QUEST sim and so I was on a search for those items! I do highly recommend doing the quest. Theres a link up above and on every sim you can get a stand alone hud for 250L or one with an outfit by Silvan Moon Designs for 350L. Male and female versions. Both Hud packages give you the hud, and a shoulder version of Cheer the Dragon. which you get to keep at the end of the hunt. And besides those you get a TON of prizes for your small fee and that link doesn't even show ALL of them.

I think this was my favorite quest to date. Did NOT see the end coming! The quest will take you to all of the fairelands, and give you a prize that matches the build, and then to Adressa for the rest..

Aside from being the quest sim it also hosts the virtual Hope Hostel Which every 500L donated to the kiosk in front will make more appear. Though I think by now it is fully built. The hostel is to represent the one that the funds raised by Fantasy Faire this year will help build. Which at the moment is $42,918.67 thats US dollars not lindens!

You have till Monday the 7th to do the quest!! It wont take to long take friend!

The ladies outfit for the quest, and Cheer on my shoulder!

Fantasy Faire 2018 sim - Aetherea - creators

Click here for a list of all the stores on Aetherea with SLURL's to their main stores and to the sim I will not be posting SLURL's individually, as you can get them all at this handy link. If you need one for an item I have on that is NOT at Fantasy fair, and that will mostly be hair and poses, Ask for it! I'll be happy to tell you, but I am trying to highlight the Fantasy Faire exclusive items, or items by FF vendors only.

So many elegant shops here! many old favs and some new ones. And of course the Creators store Fallen gods which is one of the best fantasy skin stores out there! However, despite Alia doing his best to heal the sim, my computer is old and needs an upgrade and still didn't like it. But that's not the sims fault..but I only got a few shots in before I had to give up and not blog the rest of the items I could have.

I so need a new comp for next years Fantasy Faire!

Silvan Moon Designs did both of the outfits I have on for this sim. This one here is the lovely Golden Age Baroque gown. I love the fabrics and the sheer sleeves. I paired it with a necklace by On a Lark called Memorial Locket Eternal Circle and the best part of this locket is you can add a photo inside it! I didn't but you can see a close up of it here

The second outfit. again by Silvan Moon Designs is also a baroque gown called Lady of Shalot. Its a simpler day gown style instead of the formal court gown of the other one but still quite lovely!

And lastly rez items! I WAS SO HAPPY to get some of the stunning Glass ornaments by Balderdash that you can see in the Junctions. So pretty and sparkly! I also picked up the Flying Origami Cranes by Boudoir as they are cute, and they move around in a circle when rezzed!

now ON TO THE QUEST!!
