The Luminaria Ceremony
Missing those gone and Thinking of those fighting the cancer battle.
I chose to hold a lantern this year instead of a candle to represent the bright light that Relay is in the fight towards candle. Leading the way to a cure.

And I love this tail by Jomo, Sayige Lotus had one on when I saw her at Fantasy fair and I HAD to get my own. It moves so beautifully!

oops I did it again
So yeah, after Fantasy fair ended this year ren faire season hit and hit HARD. It was an especially hard run between the weather *sooo much rain in Oklahoma* , some issues with other people on cast, and the plumbing in my house had major problems. So something had top give, and it was blogging secondlife. I've been trying to get back into the swing of it but none of the sims I went to and photographed really connected with me enough to make an effort to blog them on their own.
So in an attempt to get back into things. I'm doing a "whoops I forgot to blog these places" post and post links and photos to a few sims I never got around to blogging. This goes back to last year! Oldest item first
First up! Kagami 2014 - A Japanese horror event http://www.softpaw.org/LJimages/SL/Kagami14
This was a fun adventure game, not so big on the horror IMO that was on a really beautifully done sim. It was a little tricky and you had to be careful what you wore as it had a script limit. But it was worth it in the end. I had fully planned to do a big post about it, but as it was almost a year ago I can't remember why i never got around to it. But here's what I wore! At least the photo, I lost the info on who I'm wearing, though if you want I am sure I could track it down in my inventory again.

We had some really good haunts in Steelhead last year. I loved it, so many of them where highly interactive, and didn't fall into relying on gore for the spooking. Of course I spooked up my home and the teahouse as well. there was the usually contest but I didn't win. Maybe this year! I should get to planning.
And now we move into 2015

I love the first two dreams Pandora's presented, but I just couldn't get into this one and never finished exploring it.. It was a lovely build, with lots of the cute quirky stuff I love, and maybe it was just due to trying to explore while so worn out from faire. There is a new one I need to get my tail over to exploring soon.

This was a fun but frustrating quest game I learned about via Honour McMillan You set to going on a series of challenges to become a samurai. what it doesn't tell you when you start is A you have to finish it all in one log in or your progress is lost on some of the challenges, and B for a few things you will need a friend.

Steelhead is having an artwalk in the sims, for RFL and for fun. I was asked to join with some of my photos I take. I couldn't decided which older ones to use so I just went from sim to sim in Steelhead and took new ones! I have them hanging up in the teahouse, but the resolution isn't that great, so I loaded them here so you can see them in all their glory.
And that's the catch up post. I'm not going to go back and try to make up with the weekly themes I've missed, though I will for the pin ups. I'm not fully sure yet if I'll be starting back with the weekly theme either. I wasn't enjoying it that much myself and no one else was doing it..so...shrugs
But I am going to work on posting more! Though this weekend, first and foremost is Relay for Life! So posts will happen about that at least!

13 years...

Till next year..
Fantasy Faire 2015 is over for the year. The sims are still up for a few more days, till Linden Labs takes the magic away. But the faire events are done with. Just sight seeing and a weee bit of shopping to still do.
So far the totals for Money raised for Relay For Life is $30,752 USD. WOW! I believe that is a new fantasy faire record.
Thank you to all the amazing creators that offered such a wide variety of items for sale that helped raise that amount. And all those that just straight up donated. Thank you
One day we will win this battle against cancer and it is thanks to people that donate to fund the research that it will happen. But the money wont go to just that. It goes to help those currently fighting deal with it, be it treatments, emotional support or needed information.

Fantasy Faire 2015 Sim - Ravenshold and the 2015 Hunt, The Lost Land
Ravenshold (by Rynn Verwood) – The hunt sim, hosting the second part of the Fairelands Hunt: The Lost Land. The snow-clad island stands slightly aside of the Fairelands circle, silent in its solitude. What secrets does it hold?
I am combining a post about the Faire hunt and the post about Ravenshold, the sim that the second part of the hunt takes place on, together as its logic. I am going to try to not be to spoilery, but some of my photos in the album link below may have some spoilers. And if you wish to read and exceptional guide to the hunt, that helps but doesn't outright GIVE the answers head on over to Deoridhe at Primdolls and check out hers. You can pick up a hunt hud at any landing point on all the Faire sims, and randomly if a nfew other places. You'll have two choices, one that is just the hud, the other comes with a cute outfit by Bare Rose, which you can see in my photos of the hunt and Ravenshold, except the hat it came with. The outfit version is called delux and costs a bit more then just the hud. All in all, unless you get super stuck looking for something, it'll take you about an hour to two hours to complete the entire hunt.
The first half of the hunt will take you to each of the Faire sims, looking for a person and then an item for the person. So you really get to see a lot of the sims. If you haven't been around the sims yet its a great chance to see them all. It's quite fun, and as your prize for this half of the hunt, you will get a little bit of each sim. Something from the builds. I could have happily stopped there, as those are some wonderful gifts. But then there is the SECOND half and that takes you to Ravenshard. And at the end of that half, your inventory gets FLOODED by wonderful gifts from various extremely generous Fantasy Faire creators. It's going to take me a while to see what everything is!
Now Ravenshard itself is a sim of eternal winter. Beautifully done, you almost want to pull on a parka and live in it waiting for Christmas. It's easy to navigate to get to the areas you need for the hunt, unless you have my stairs problem. And just breath taking. If there are not a lot of others on the sim working on the hunt I do recommend doing a bit of post hunt exploring. But do be mindful of other hunters while on the sim. Though sometimes, as you will see below, it can lead to fun photo ops!
