Misty Moss is from the Silver Swirls specialty crayons released in 1990. They had a lovely metals sheen to them.


I had a totally "photographers" block" for this week. Every sim I went to wasn't something I was in the mood to explore with the outfit I had one. So after about 3 dozen teleports I went "eff this" and went to one of my favorite sims, Bentham Forest and took the shot, and called it a day.

I did find loads of interesting sims, but none called to me to explore at the moment. Some due to being multi sim builds and I just wasn't in the mood to explore more then one sim right now. Others, they would just look weird with the mushroom outfit I had on.

The outfit is a fantastic fae concoction by Caverna Obscura, all moss and mushrooms and bark. Loads of fun.


Next weeks color is an easy one, because I have a dozy of a crayon for you all for the week of the USA's Fourth of July!

Vanellope, if you didn't know, is from the newest Disney Animated film Wreck it Ralph, which if you haven't seen yet, Go see it! It's fantastic!

Putting together her look was easy, as she's already dressed fairly normally. It was adding the touches of candy that was the fun part! I grabbed a lot of candy themed jewelry and wore it all togehter. Instead of sprinkling candy in my hair I picked a super fun style by Schadenfreude that lets you change the color of individual "strands"

The location is a skybox as I wanted a candy setting for this one. Found a super cheap candy skybox and dug out a pose from a candy themed set, which fit Vanellope well.

I wanted a candy car but couldn't find one, which surprised me! Open market idea for someone! Grab it!

Misty Moss

Shimmering Blush is from the 2001 Metallic FX special edition box. Which you can still get in a store near you!


I chose a lovely new outfit by one of my favorite stores Caverna Obscura as it was perfect for this color. I felt it needed jewelry so I found a stand out necklace by Southpaw. The pose is one of 9 you can get from aDORKable's last gacha at the Arcade. I'm still after the rare one if anyone has a spare!

For the sim I at last went to the newly reopened Hazardous! I visited the sim previously in 2012 when it had a different build.. The new sim is a lot less water! But still lovely, which a few nods to the old build.

There are lots of nooks and crannies to find, but unless i missed them, no teleports to skyboxes. If anyone knows of any of those let me know!

If I had to pick between the two builds, I like the watery one more then the current one. But both are lovely in their own way!

Movie poster challenge

So, this round of Berry's weekly blog challenge as much different then the others! What did she want us to do?

So I sat and thought, what could I do? Then I was looking at my netflix queue and saw that I had added FairyTale: A True Story a while back. And BINGO there was my poster! Here is what the original looks like.


And now here is my version! It is likely the most post processed image I have posted. Lens flair! Blue Screen! *well purple* More then one photo taken and layered together!!

I changed the text to reflect a "joke" I use when introducing myself at Ren faires "I'm a cat fairy, see I have a tail, it's my Fairy tail!" It gets me giggles and groans.


And I forgot to write down the credits for what I am wearing and which animation I used. Doh me! I do remember the hair is by Truth and the outfit is by Caverna Obscura but not the pose. Took me FOREVER to find one that worked and then I had to use a secondary program inworld to move my arm out to "touch" the finger on the other hand.

Ok, this look was way fun and way easy to put together.

I went looking for a yellow jacket, and just HAPPENED to find a yellow version of Michael Jackson's Thriller Jacket . This tickled me to NO end so I went with it. Found a blue vest and green pants and there you go!

Had to toss on a fun hat as what is the HATTER with out a HAT. Then of course I had to take the photo at my teahouse. On a new tea party table I picked up for my big teahouse overhaul. The pose is an old Hunt pose I've had for a while, and I liked out it fit with the jacket AND was Alice themed so there we go!

The Coconut crayon comes from the 1994 magic scent pack. The food scented ones that got replaced with none foods.

Now that faire is over I am hoping to get back to exploring like normal. Looking forwards to that!

Our Anniversary was on the first of June, and we where both causing mischief and shenanigans in the Fairy glen at the Oklahoma Renaissance Festivel for its last weekend of the year. So I wasn't able to post this.

Not really sure, Tearsong Vaungh helped me out a lot at the start. Most the rest I googled or asked a lot of people in various groups.

Just Ambrose, we're all having a sulk fest right now as he can't make it to OKRF this year. We may have to just go to him and invade the renfaire near him.

A mix of both really. When exploring I usually like to do it alone, that way I don't have to wait on someone to go to a certain area of wherever I am at. But I do go to events and there I like to be around people.





No word yet on who I get to dress as for Disneybound. They are a bit backlogged.

Kinda scared and curious what next weeks meme from Strawberry will be considering what she said.

Coconut

Fuzzy Wuzzy is a crayon from the same contest last weeks was.

My Ren Faire has one last weekend, This week was the big three day Memorial day weekend one, Running Saturday - Monday. It's usually the last weekend so having one more weekend now is kinda messing with my head.

Also I have a big dentist appointment later today, yay digging into my gums! Not sure how that will affect the Disneybound challenge.

I'll do the Strawberry meme Thursday if I have the mental capacity to do so.
