Next Weeks Theme Time

Yeah so, This weeks theme is one of those tricky ones. I went with a leap pose, that doesn't really do the amazing outfit I have on justice. I chose Leap for this week as this year is a leap year and leap day is soon. But the sim didn't really lend itself to any "leap of faith" poses. Ah well, win some loose some.

I should make a post about this round of Enchantment this weekend. The book its based on is very important to me. More on that later of course!


The sim I picked for this week is a lovely "water sim" type sim. Little scattered scenes spaced out in a few inches of water. The Sim wind light gave everything a reddish overcast. I loved the randomness of the items that are set out on this sim. Things to sit on and play with As well as just look at. It's very eclectic and fun.

Next Weeks Theme Leap

Ok, so, Adar had a schedule change at work, now hes working the same shift as Turlock. And just started the new shift this week. So it's been an adjustment of sleep schedules. And I've not been getting enough sleep, because one of my cats is missing the morning of snuggle time with Adar on the couch so wakes me up now. So add that to the weird weather in my part of the world and it makes for a cranky, tired, and coming down with something Fae Kitty.

So I'm not up to a full sim, and I'm running late. So I just took a photo, which ended up taking longer then planned as the pose was made for people with shorter arms or something.

ANYWAY

Love. I'm sure a lot of people expected something mushy with me and Adar, but no, I am showing off love of Friends. As love comes in many forms. Romantic, friendship, family, love for your pets, love for things you enjoy. It really has a wider range then just romantic love. And I wanted to showcase that here. Turlock is my best friend, more like a brother now, and has been for a little less then I've been married to Adar. And I've known his girlfriend Chess for years and consider her an adopted sister. She's one of my Faemily, which is a term for fairy family. So this photo represents many kinds of love in my life.

Next Weeks Theme Love

Home, Home means so many different things to everyone. It's even different things to the same person. When I talk about going home, I'm usually meaning well, where I live 99% of the time. However home can also mean my parents house, or if I am visiting someplace "home" is where ever I am sleeping that night. Home, was also the Fairy glen at OKRF, and still is in a way. But the less said about that mess and why I had to say was the better for my heart. Home was also Steelhead in Second Life, but it's gone as well.

But there is that saying "home is where the heart is" and my heart, is always, no matter what with my Dragon, Adar. So I chose to just have us at home, relaxing, to represent home to me.


And for the sim I'm showing off. I chose, Home. My current home plot in Secondlife, the 4th incarnation of the Realm of the Fae Kitty. Where I moved after loosing Steelhead. It's still a work in progress, but if you really want to go by to use it for photos, feel free.

I didn't take a whole lot of photos, though I have all sorts of things scattered about the land, I am inviting people to visit so you can find them yourself. Feel free to explore even in the house.

Aerial shot of my house and some of the land. The house is an amazing windmill tree house by LAQ SLURL And is so very customizable, and season change!!

There's way way to many items in these shots for me to give credits for everything, but if you see something you like, do feel free to ask and I will tell you exactly who it's by as soon as I can!

The land came with this water feature and the island, I turned it into a kind of, Isle of Memory and Hope. With my tree and the memorial to the cats i lave lost over 41 years of life. I want to make another bit of word art like the HOPE one that says Believe.

The entire plot is 7seas fishing enabled, here is the main fishing area though. Still have my crappy years old customs set up as well. Have yet to hold any contests..

Ok, no not really babies, but lil fairy cats! I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THESE YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!! *flails*

There was cat scaring squealing happening when I first saw them on a page with Gacha Garden previews and KNEW I had to have the entire set.

They are called Flutterpaws and are by lassitude & ennui *slurl*. There are 15 of them that you can get from the gacha and after the 20th pull you get a special 16th one! Four of them are rares. They are exclusively at the Gacha Garden for its current round, so only about for a month!*SLURL*

You can wear them like I am and they are then animated or rez them, at 3L each, with no animation.

Oh and they came with a cute lil poem about them!

Within the Gacha Garden, past a mossy garden wall,
Along the leaves and flowers, sleepy Catapillars crawl.
Their bellies full of Tunaleaf, they find a spot to sleep,
And, in cocoons contrived from cardboard, they curl up and slumber deep.

Slowly, magic happens in the misty moonlit air.
They stretch, they yawn, and greet the dawn as something new and rare.
From fluffy bodies now emerge bright wings as thin as gauze -
They mew, they spring, and now take wing to soar as Flutterpaws!

The Tabby and the Tiger glide as regally as hawks,
The Sealpoint and the Snowshoe both admire each other's socks.
Sakura, by the cherry tree, tucks blossoms in her hair.
Savannah bats at all the bugs that come too near her lair.

Curled up tight, the puffy White drifts like a tiny cloud,
Sleep-flying just above the grass, his purring long and loud.
Bashful beauty Vintage grins and preens a lacy veil
'Til rough-and-tumble Calico tries dive-bombing her tail.

With Russian Blue, and White-Grey too, they play among the trees,
As Moustache bows to Jewelled and takes her dancing on the breeze.
Rainbow sprawls to catch the sun and watches their ballet,
And, far above them, Galaxy laps at the Milky Way.

One Flutterpaw, most rare of all, hides in the rosebush leaves.
He proudly wears bright pink – and wears his heart upon his sleeves.
But, if you're kind and patient with the others of his crew,
Then, in due time, shy Valentine will come on home with you.

Next Weeks Theme Home

This weeks theme of Enchanted can have so many meanings. Magically enchanted, or just enthralled with something. And to me, everything here is both. The dress, the jewelry, the sim. It's all so enchanting.

The sim, well half sim, is owned by the lovely Natalie Montagne who used to own Enchanted. One of my most favorite sims EVER. And I picked this theme just to show off this sim. It has shades of Enchanted on it, but is also an Art Gallery show casing some of the most amazing Secondlife Photographers and artists there are. I did not take any photos inside the gallery so you have to go to the sim to see them!

It's really almost impossible to get a bad photo angle here, every turn of your camera brings up another bit of magic to see. And Natalie's love of Unicorns still shows as you will find a few of them in the lower forest area under the Gallery. There's also some dragons, mermaids and a sea serpent! Just to name a few of the magical creatures you will find here.
