Today marks the first official day of Summer.

I really hate June

I lost my old lady late yesterday. She was 15 years old and the smartest cat in the world. I had her through so many moves and even before I was married to Adar. Heck I had her when I was married to my EX-HUSBAND!

It was sudden, and traumatic and heart wrenching, especially since It came so close to the anniversary of the two I lost last year.

I added a candle for her to my bridge candles I have on my land in Steelhead. The Pet cemetery where I have a memorial to Mystique is THERE but doing some kind of redo so I can't get more plots.

I am utterly devastated to lose Rumpelteazer. I don't know what all I will manage to get done in terms of blogging. I am still going on the planned trip. I need that now more than ever.

Found this week’s outfit easily enough. It's not like I have much yellow and lucked out with this shade. Finding the SIM was trickery, as I wanted a fun brightly colored sim to explore. Mostly as a counter effect to something that happened last year. I finely found Off the Wall and set off! And BOY is it bright and colorful!

Large oversized flowers, large oversized balloon critters and all kinds of other brightly colored nonsense scattered about. According to the "about land" tab there is a treasure hunt, but last week I had a migraine for most of it, so I didn't bother tracking it down.

There sim also houses two stores full of the fun weirdness that you can only get in Secondlife. One has avatars in them the other stuff like a gun that shoots flowers

As I said I wasn't up to par last week, so I didn't spend a LOT of time in the sim. So I didn't experience it as fully as I could be. Or take as many photos as usual, but what I did take is seen here.

I'm doing MUCH better now for the record.

Next weeks will be a day or two late. I'm going to Oklahoma City to have a day being an Urban fairy with my OKRF fae. Why? June 24th Is FAIRY DAY!!

Week Twenty Four: Raspberry Glace

And with this color I have now managed to wear all of the Van Helsing Vampire gowns by Suki's Silken Fashions! WOOT!! I actually had a number of choices for this shade, once I looked in the pink folder instead of the purple. But went with this one to complete the set. The other two I wore for week 13 of this year’s 52 weeks and Week 3 of the first run.


I remembered the hard time I had finding a vampire sim I felt comfy in from week 13 so I just picked an interesting sounding sim from the destination guide. Tyrehl Byk's Almost Flat Land was defiantly interesting! There is a bit of a story to the build, make sure you find the diary and read it. And make sure your sound and media is working. The sound effects that are set up are rather creepy and fitting.

You'll start out in a cave with some information, mostly about the media settings. then tp down to the build. Where you start in a ruined hall

Which has some fantastic lighting in it. I really wish I could do shadows as I bet this hall looks AMAZING with them. explore it, take note of the little things! They may tie back to the story. There is no real quest here, other than to find the diary. It’s just...experiencing the story really.


The hall eventually opens up onto the titular...Almost Flat Land.. and a small abandoned campsite.

You should soon find the diary, read it, it’s a hud that attaches to your screen. Then explore the rest. Which is mostly a particle show. But SO well done. I was impressed with it! And again SOUNDS MAKE THIS SIM!! And many of the particle effects are triggered by you walking near them so walk around and explore!

Eventually you'll find an underwater teleport disk which takes you up to another level, full of neon looking trees. Just go forwards through them. It’s easy to get lost and turned around if you don't.

When you get to the end, well I don’t want to give it away, but let’s just say first I was so startled by something I screamed a little, then I started chanting Moisturize me..

Though if you look through all of my photos of the sim you can figure it out for yourself

Now, to go find yet ANOTHER Yellow for next week. Ugh...

Remember Booshies from when I blogged Fantasy Faire? Well this week they are having a weeklong event which will give you a peek into the Booshtopia sim. It's a quest and will take you not only to the Booshies Sim but to a few others.

It's called Flori & The Nectubloom Rising And here is a link to the official post about it. Basically, go to the sim, visit Flori, she gives you a hud *FREE* you click on the Nectublooms about the sim and then go find some on a few other sims, come back and get a prize!

This event is NOT the release of the official Booshies game.
It is completely free to partake in this event. Do not pay anyone anything to participate.

You will NOT be redeeming your pre-orders at this event.
Your participation in this event is for FUN ONLY and does not imply that you are part of the actual game's beta test or that you are playing the actual game of Booshies.
This event is a pre-cursor to the actual Booshies story.

The items you will receive upon completion of the quest are two different items.
One will be wearable by your Second Life avatar and will appear in your Second Life inventory.
The Booshies item will credit to your account on our servers once we release.

I obviously partook of it and asked if it would be alright to Blog in and was told that was fine. So here is my post!

The Booshtopia is stunning. It's not finished, or they took up parts of it and will put them back down later, but what is down is just amazing. I cannot WAIT To see it in full! At least I think it’s not finished, there is stuff I have seen in preview photos, blog posts and vids that I couldn't find.

The store is set up, but all that is in it right now are preorder sets and the Booshitars, the ones I got for fantasy faire and a few new ones. That apparently got put out for a Breedables faire I MISSED due to being offline. Which means I missed out on a RFL version of the Felitera Booshitar. I do now own one of the normal Felitera Booshitars, which is adorable and I lufs it but it’s not PURPLE. Oh well. Now having seen more than the sketch on Facebook I want them in Booshies form even more. SO CUTE!!! *flails*

Annnnyyywwaaayyy, it’s a fantastic build. Floating rock trees, Flori's glad is just stunning, and MUSHROOMS. We all know I am a sucker for pretty mushrooms.

And I loved how they had random Booshies just scattered about. Living the Booshie life! The only one I didn't find that I knew about from Booshitars was the Pendle, and now that I am thinking about it I'm not sure if I saw a Bonkle. There are a TON of Beefluzas, as they are a part of the event. Rather pretty butterfly lizard things. And one..ONE Felitera!

I wandered all over and made sure I found all the flowers on the sim before I headed off to other sponsor sims. I only needed to go to four, each sponsor sim has 5 flowers. There's a decent selection of sims to go visit but I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend you choose Boosh Edge Cliff *slurl* as one of them. I took two photos of that sim and its on the page with all my photos I took tonight. This sim is amazing in its own right and I plan to go back to take more.

Oh and a tip, make SURE your in chat range, if not right up against, the flowers before you click them. Or else it wont register on your hud, but the flower WILL say you clicked it already. I did that a few times and that’s why I went to four sponsor sims instead of three.

The hunt runs till Sunday the 10th so you have a week to go complete it!

So, my housemate has been bugging me to let him photo bomb on a green shade. So this week we did it. You can see the results. Yes he's a comic geek. If you want to know where he got the outfit poke him :P I think it was some full perm freebie he grabbed way back when we first got on SL and the movie had just come out.

This color was a right royal pain in my tail to find. Such a lurid shade of green, and did I file shades in that tone under light green or medium green? Ugh! Oh and I should add I HATE pistachios. They are totally nasty tasting. But I did find this way over the top gown to wear. So I added some way over the top hair to it. I think the gown may have been an old hunt prize. I can't find it on the marketplace. I know the hair was. I wish Evie would do more fun hair in more shades! I love the hair to bits.

The location is Andrek Lowel's newest creation. An animal filled Jungle island. Lots of fun hidden areas, but no classic Andrek quest. *sad fae kitty* But its his usual amazing build and well worth exploring, just to count the animals! Birds, lizards, snakes, other critters...even fish !!

I WORK OUT!!!

Next to one water area there was a box that said, click to feed the piranhas. So I clicked..and PIRANHA FEEDING FRENZY!! That I logged Adar on briefly so I could set my camera to get underwater shots and still feed them...so enjoy his cameo

Another 52 weeks of color - Weeks 20, 21, and 22

So, rather then kill myself by trying to explore someplace for each of the colors I missed, I just took photos in various locations in Steelhead Nevermoor. Now the current week, week 23,. will be a normal 52 weeks of color post!

But for now, my playing catch up. Enjoy!

I think so far, the deep pink photo is my favorite photo I have taken for 52 weeks EVER. I love it. I've been hoping to have a color show up where I could wear it for the challenge and here we go!

Dress is a fun one but not many places I could wear it at. The location is a MAZE...when did Nevermoor get a maze? Its Clearly Tenasi and Lunar's work but I had no idea it was over there!
