YoZakura (by Nya Alchemi) – In the late hours of the night, visit the Japanese Hanami Festival and dream… Traveler behold As Midnight courts the Moon and Cherry blossoms dance
For those that don't know the Japanese Hanami Festival is also called the Sakura Blossom festival. A tradition that happens in spring when the cherry trees are in bloom. People will go to the parks and picnic under the trees as the blossoms fall. It sounds quite lovely.
YoZakura lets you get a taste of that tradition, but with a magical twist you can only get in Secondlife. Atop floating cliffs a dragon guards the town hosting the festival, while in the waters lotus fish swim about lazily.
The sim was designed as a night festival but I turned the windlight to a setting sun for a bit to show some of the color and details you miss when its a dark sim. Then went back to the sim windlight, which shows off the gentle glow of lamps and magical trees. I very much enjoyed exploring it and finding small hidden details.
You can see all my photos at this link here and a few more select ones at my flickr page
